I spoke to Lee and Elizabeth and was then helped by their son Sam when we came to collect the car, everything was prepared and well organised. Sam was efficient, welcoming and charming and even set up the phone. Great experience and highly recommend.

10 out of 10. Excellent Family Run Garage. Excellent service. We live 9 hours away so when I saw the car advertised I contacted the garage and they gave me all the relevant details and even videoed the car underneath and offered to do a FaceTime call. I was very happy with the car so was offered the chance to reserve the car for £99 which would hold it for 2 days and if I didn't want to proceed I would receive a full refund. We arrived at the garage at 1330 hours and were welcomed by the garage owners who offered us a hot drink and showed us to the car. We were left to have a proper look at the car ourselves without feeling any pressure from the garage owners. We took the car a test drive and was very happy with it so I purchased the car. Completion of the paperwork was very straightforward with the owners completing the road tax as well on my behalf. We were offered more refreshments and offered the office to sort out my insurance. Whilst there we looked around the garage and the selection of vehicles was very good. Highly recommended. The owners had offered to collect us from the train station or airport if required but we drove do so this wasn't needed.

Excellent family run business. The service I received from Appleyard Cars was fantastic. The team were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable but did not overbear or push with a sale. They understood that purchasing a car had to be right and placed no pressure on me to buy a vehicle though them.
The communication with Appleyard Cars has been great from organising collection date to instructions as to what needed to be completed prior to collection. Everything was seamless and overall really impressed.

Honest, enjoyable and great cars. Brilliant from start to finish, honest discussions, good prices, good trade-ins. Bought two Fiat 500s, really pleased with the cars, in great order, honestly presented and plenty of time in a friendly environment to check over the cars and test-drive. The whole experience from first phone call, looking over cars, though to driving away was really fun, enjoyable and reassuring.

Appleyard Cars were fantastic because the car stock had a variety of cars to choose from. The service was amazing the family that worked there helped me look at the cars explained all the features they had. Didn't pressure me in anyway and let me test drive the two I was deciding between which helped me decide on the right car for me. They put a fresh mot on the car and made sure everything was clean and fresh for when I picked up the car. They went through the service history for the car and helped me apply for finance (chose not to use in the end) and tax the car, so I could drive it away. Lovely car and lovely service, would recommend to anyone.

I'd like to start by say, we had a great experience buying from Appleyard Cars. Very professional, no pressure sales and genuinely nice people.
We turned up without any sort of appointment and were welcomed, they gave us the space and time to look around and discuss between ourselves. We eye'd up 2 BMW X1's and were given the opportunity to test drive both. At the time we had no intention of buying that same day, but given the freedom and space by Lee won us over and we decided to jump in and bite the bullet. Also, not being low balled with our other car as part exchanged sealed the deal.
A testament to their professionalism and expertise, we chose to purchase a 2nd vehicle, Merc A-class. Again, Lee made the sale easy and bent over backwards to helps us out.
Post sale, we did identify a missing compressor, which was quickly ordered by Lee and sent to our house.
Again, lovely people working hard to ensure the 2nd hand car market is reasonable and the experience is like purchasing a brand new motor.

I was happy with the service at Appleyard Cars because the welcome you get is first class. Important if you have travelled for a while. The car you are interested in has been brought to the display area for you to view. There is no attempt to pressure sell, you are given as much time as you like to look at the vehicle and ask as many questions as you want. Test drives are very relaxed but informative. Everything is explained and recorded, paperwork is completed so you know exactly what is going on. Lee, Elizabeth and Sam have an obvious passion for cars and they want you to get what you require and to enjoy driving your car. They know all about the cars they sell and obviously source them well. They value how you feel. This I have not seen in other second hand car sales teams. The experience was better than buying from a main dealer.

After being let down on cars I decided to search further afield I found Keith at Appleyard cars. We were offered an inside viewing due to the typical February weather, and a cup of tea when we arrived. All the cars on display were to a very high standard, so a credit to their valeter. I had already arranged to view a private sale but contacted Appleyards for a test drive in an equivalent vehicle as a backup in case the first one fell through. We gave this information up front but the owner insisted we test the car anyway, allowing me to drive it for 20 mins or so, then taking my wife for a passenger ride as well. Lee then proceeded to investigate the private sale vehicle on our behalf from his office whilst we drank tea! On verifying the car was HPI clear and checked out he even advised it would be a sound purchase, which it indeed turned out to be! Lee basically sold us someone else's car. If you want an honest, friendly, non-pushy, car enthusiast to buy a car from (he doesn't want to sell you a car, he wants you to buy one from him) I would wholeheartedly recommend Appleyard's in South Kirkby. Many many thanks to Lee and Liz and you never know, my next 2 cars may be from your excellent dealership.

Great experience from start to finish. Found an mx5 online, contacted Appleyard cars for a viewing the following day. Once arrived, they let me check the entire car over on my own, walked me through step by step all the controls, how the retractable roof operated and let me take it out for a lengthy test drive. 1 week later i picked the car up. Brilliant from start to finish. Explained the process of how collecting the car would work due to the restrictions of Covid, and made the whole process a breeze. The car was as described on the website and was in perfect condition when collecting. Both the gentlemen sorted out all the paperwork for me including helping me transfer my private registration plate onto the new car. Good communications from the Garage. All questions answered satisfactorily. Professional feel and nice clean building. The viewing area for the car was inside the building so if it was raining you don't have to inspect the car in the rain. The viewing area also has good ventilation if you worried about that kind of thing.
